Long established as a standard construction method in Central and South Florida, conventional CMU block construction typically consists of 8”*8”*16” concrete blocks stacked and filled with steel reinforcement bars and concrete mortar. While considerably slower than tunnel form construction, CMU blocks offer an economical way to gain sound and strength advantages over wood framed construction. Orange and Blue has completed numerous conventional block construction jobs and has in some cases been able to combine both tunnel and block elements on the same project.
